Partnerships

BarCamp Sarasota-Bradenton has partnered with other community organizations to provide access to additional resources to our members.

Spark Growth

Spark Growth an effort to bridge the gaps in the silos of traditional economic development organizations and connect with community based initiatives to cultivate innovation and creativity in business, technology, education and the arts – weaving these into what we call the “fabric of life”.

Spark Growth is objective, agile and collaborative – and without traditional EDO/ESO geo-political constraints; we initiate, develop and implement multi-organizational and community-based initiatives. We get leveraged results through collaboration and partnerships across a broad range of constituencies in Florida – and connect to the world beyond.

The purpose of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum is to promote the success of Southwest Florida’s new and emerging businesses by bringing together the best entrepreneurs, early stage venture capital firms and Angel Investors. Members of the GCVF meet monthly to hear about local investment opportunities, and they also offer informative educational programs presented by seasoned, recognized professionals and business people, providing a place for the sharing and exchange of business and technical experience. Monthly meetings are scheduled October through June each year.

This season the Gulf Coast Venture Forum is excited to offer, in addition to our regular monthly meetings for investors, an open forum component titled “Why invest in SWFL?” These opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors and EDO’s will provide some time to network and to catch an early glimpse at early stage ventures, meet the success stories of mature companies who utilized early stage funding to leverage growth and to discover some real “economic gardening” occurring here in the SWFL region.

  • Facilitating educational/social opportunities for the area’s technology companies

Information Services

STF provides a network for exchanging information and best practices among technology-based companies and links members with potential investors, service providers, customers, business partners, and other tech-based organizations. We do this through email notices, guest articles, forums, panels, and events.

Financial Assistance Services

We help businesses locate, access, and determine a strategy for funding sources, including bank loans, credit lines, Small Business Administration loans, and private equity firms.

Business Development Services

STF links emerging, technology-based businesses to sources of management and business assistance services. Through a cooperative program with Startup Florida, local universities, and the Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council, companies receive help with marketing plans, defining new markets for existing technologies, or developing manufacturing strategies for high-tech products.
