Stan SchultesStan Schultes has long been passionate about building and leading community organizations that are engaging, provide practical value to their members, and are collaborative players with other community and civic groups. Recently his focus has been on regional economic development initiatives, connecting entrepreneurs with funding sources, and grass-roots education and business growth.

Stan is co-founder of BarCamp Sarasota, founder of the Sarasota .NET Developers Group, and was formerly technical community liaison for the Gulf Coast Venture Forum, and partner liaison to TEDx Sarasota. He currently sits on the board of directors for the Suncoast Technology Forum, is on the FL High Tech Corridor Core Council, and organizes and participates in a number of regional business/technology collaboratives.

Stan’s background is technical – having held roles as a Software Solutions Architect, Project Manager, and CTO in companies as small as 4-person startup and as large as the Fortune 200. He holds a BSE in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, is a rabid lifelong learner and he actively keeps his skills current by writing and speaking on leading edge technologies. He’s also been a Microsoft MVP for 11 years running. These days, he’s equally well versed at speaking business strategy and investor-speak as he is at decoding the latest computer lingo.
